World of Wordcraft

Murlocs Gone Wild

I haven't updated my nano page, yet, so my word count is off. Nevertheless, I passed the 25k mark that I set for myself after the third technology failure and second family visit during the month.

I'm not happy, but I didn't quit, either. Once I got into the zone, and realized what it would take to accomplish 50k in a month, and that it was definitely doable, I think I enjoyed it a lot more.

Before starting, it was definitely a sense of "Oh sure, no problem!" and after starting it was "HOLY CRAP WHAT AM I DOING!?"

Interesting that there were tons of warnings about that, but I never paid much attention to it.

How did you guys do? Did you hit The Mark? Or did you meet your own, more humble goal?

*laughs* I felt the same way about the "HOLY CRAP".

I did manage to finish, though. Aside from the expansion, the only setbacks I had were of my own making, and those last three thousand words were some of the hardest I've ever written.

But I wrote them. And if need be, I could write them again.

*sigh* Next year, Nano...you are mine...

Had too much other stuff come up to be able to dedicate the time I wanted to writing. It made me very sad.
