Sigh. Isn't it always the way? I have a ginormous zit on my chin now. There may be some of my ego I'm willing to sacrifice but not THAT much. We shall wait until it's gone.

Okay, I will give this a shot

I dunno what Bre was getting me into, but I'll be danged if I'm gonna back down now that I've, you know, registered at all the web pages and some junk.

Besides, the cool welcome email from NaNoWriMo was very encouraging. All of the tips were good in that Welcome email, but I especially resonated with item number one:

It's okay to not know what you're doing. Really. You've read a lot of novels, so you're completely up to the challenge of writing one. If you feel more comfortable outlining your story ahead of time, do so. But it's also fine to just wing it. Write every day, and a book-worthy story will appear, even if you're not sure what that story might be right now.

So I'm just gonna run with it. What the heck!
